The museum tells the story of the rise, fall and rebuilding of this
lumbering community.

J.F. Doyle Memorial Recreation Area, North Huron Avenue.
Enjoy swimming, a playground, picnics, walks along the boardwalk,
visit the Crib Lighthouse, bird watching, soccer fields or
just take in a panoramic view of Lake Huron and the Straits of Mackinac.
The Cheboygan County Marina is located here, take a walk and just
look at the nice boats docked.

Cheboygan Opera House, Huron Avenue. See one of Northern Michigan’s premiere
music halls. The Opera House has many famous performances, the
Glenn Miller Orchestra and the Four Freshmen were just recently
performing there. Stop in for a tour of the Opera House.

Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw, left turn off of State St. Bridge,
Coast Guard Drive. Largest Coast Guard vessel to sail in the Great Lakes.
Most powerful and capable icebreaker in the world. Tours are available
